Privacy policy
We collect the least we need to run and protect the market, and we never sell your data.
What we know about visitors
- No account is needed to browse or contact announcers.
- Your IP address is not stored as it is: we keep only a one-way hash, to prevent abuse and count each view once, and the approximate city and country (from DB-IP) for announcers' statistics.
- A lang cookie remembers your language.
- Favorites and recently viewed ads stay on your device.
- If you message an announcer from the site, your name, number and message reach that announcer.
What we know about announcers
Account details (name and email, or your Google account if you sign in with it), the kind of announcer, phone and WhatsApp, office or company details, the ads and their photos, and their ads' statistics.
Who processes data with us
- Microsoft Azure: hosting, the database and photo storage.
- Cloudflare: delivering and protecting the site, and visit statistics that do not track individuals.
- Anthropic (Claude): checking ads before they go live and helping announcers write them in Arabic and English.
- Google: sign-in for announcers who choose it.
Contact outside Lewan
Calls and WhatsApp happen on your phone and apps directly; Lewan does not see them and only counts contact attempts for the announcer's statistics.
How long we keep data
Ads while they are published and for a limited time after; messages in the announcer's inbox until they delete them; aggregated numbers for statistics. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction or its deletion through the contacts below.
