• Ask for a recent property statement (بيان قيد عقاري) from the real-estate registry and match the owner with the seller.
• If you cannot be there, appoint a relative or a lawyer with an official power of attorney through a Syrian consulate or a notary.
• Transfer no money before the ownership check and a written agreement.
